Vegkop farmers learn through experiential learning and through unearthing our farming traditions of the past, dusting it off, adding appropriate science and technology, and applying this to our new environmental and socio-economic context and challenges. The farm is thus, not surprisingly, an important space for farmers to interact with scientists, researchers and academics. The farm hosts workshops to bring together farmers, food gardeners, scientists and researchers to grow our farming craft and consciousness. Look out for upcoming events and register a spot to take part in the workshops and seminars. We are always planning very informative and empowering workshops for farmers and food gardeners. And local Cape Flats dishes with produce freshly harvested off the farm are delicious treat.
